Parramatta is returning to their classic logo in 2011 so I jumped the gun and have returned to it a year early. The jumper is a modernised version of their 1980’s designs, including a return to the blue jumper as the primary.
Nice work, have noticed the round logo being sported in the papers recently for new recruits Poore & Shackleton wearing them on the blue jersey…not sure if they will play in this for 2010 but sure hope so. bring back the tradition at the Eels and watch the benefits.
Love it! Would love to see Parra go back to 40’s jumper (seen at heritage week, blue with gold hoop around chest and arms, w/ white shorts) though I guess when you think Parra you think 80’s. Awesome work.
First of all, thanks for elaborating on your question; you might find that asking a direct question will net you more information than making a blunt and uniformed statement while throwing around insults.
Secondly, I think you’ve missed the point of this site. I present what I think should be used over what is being used, be it original or not. Many teams have a rich history associated with certain designs, case in point, the 1980’s Parramatta jerseys. I used the 1980’s aesthetic in designing this set with a slight modifications to better fit the cut of jumper as well as allowing for a better integration of sponsors (hence the striping across the chest being restricted to the side panels). If you’re saying what I think you’re saying, do you believe that someone would try to pull the wool over the eyes of rugby league fans and claim that I’m the sole contributor to the style adopted by the Eels in the 1980’s, could anyone be so shortsighted? Is there any sort of benefit of me doing so?
I see that you have yet to comment elsewhere on the site that I didn’t “design” other older style jumpers, neither has anyone else for that fact. I suppose that other visitors get my intention and don’t need to be whistle blowers for the glaringly obvious. Hopefully next time you make comments on other people’s work, you can understand their intention before posting such insightful drivel. Maybe you might even have something constructive to say.
Heyy Gaz! Been following your work for a number of years now, and would like to compliment you on your work! You actually inspired me to create my own designs a while back and posted them on your old site, when members were allowed to post ideas, i actually created a uniform design for my schools arrive alive cup, which was a project for my yr 12 design tech hsc project!
Keep the great designs coming! if only the clubs were better represented in the neat fashion you present your designs instead of slapped on sponsors and crazy designs which do not represent the clubs history watsoever! Makes you wonder why fans even bother buying crappy, expensive jerseys which will be changed in 4 years anyways. But as a parra supporter having wanting them to return to the old logo and simple design of the 80’s i must say i am very happy to see them return to the old logo and jersey with the modern look.
I think storm, panthers, knights, and tigers are still in search of a design they can hang onto, personally they should return to their earlier jerseys with a modern look.
Anyways thought i’d leave ya a post mate! Been a while since ive designed a jersey since creating my project but i think u’ve motivated me again, havent seen your site in quite a while! nyways keep it up.
Btw is this your career as a designer or a hobbie you do on the side…
Man thats killer!!! thumbs up from me. Keep up the good work.
Man, these designs are really good, well done.

From what I’ve read, it will only be used on the heritage jersey for a limited numbers of games. They will switch to the logo full time in 2011.
Give yourself an upper cut clown, you did not design these jumpers
Care to elaborate?

GAZF are you claiming to have designed these jumpers?
