Continuing a solid design along its path
The colour palette has been changed slightly from navy/purple/white/gold to indigo/purple/silver. The switch from navy to indigo is subtle enough to hint at the club’s Victorian roots but allows for a departure from a commonly used colour in the NRL.
The lightning bolts are bolder and feature as part of a striping pattern on the sleeve and shorts. The bolts are coloured with a silver to white gradient for a metallic appearance.
The jersey body features a geometric tonal pattern, representative of the unique triangular panels of Melbourne’s rectangular stadium.
The pattern is a progression of the navy to purple transition on the current Storm jersey.

Can’t say I’m a fan of the pattern on the chest, but I appreciate you trying something different.
Not a fan of the bolts forming a V?
There’s increasingly less real estate on jerseys for large lightning bolts. The Storm tried to use them on their nines jersey this year and the bolts are too thin and oddly proportioned.
The stadium roof pattern was an attempt to progress their current look but give it a more personal touch for the club.
Gary, you should make some videos that show the progress of you designing all the kits.
